Freeze-dried Ingredients:
  • Freeze dried orange zest
  • Whole freeze dried eggs
Cake:
  • 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
  • ¾ cup whole freeze dried eggs
  • 1 ½ cups water
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tsp freeze dried orange zest
Glaze:
  • 2 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 T orange juice

  • Freeze dried orange zest

Cake:
  • 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
  • ¾ cup whole freeze dried eggs
  • 1 ½ cups water
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tsp freeze dried orange zest
Glaze:
  • 2 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 T orange juice
Instructions
Cake:
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Grease and flour a bundt cake pan.
  3. Combine sugar, eggs and water in a mixing bowl and mix for 1 minute.
  4. Add in flour, vanilla and orange zest, then mix on medium speed for 10 minutes.
  5. Pour batter into cake pan and bake for 30-35 minutes, until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. (Cake will be very soft to the touch and register 200 degrees F on a thermometer.)
  6. Cool for 20-30 minutes, then invert onto a plate and cool completely.
  7. Serve with berries and cream or top with almond glaze, then berries.
Glaze:
  1. Whisk all ingredients together and drizzle on cooled cake and sprinkle with orange zest.
